For years and years, dogs have been pets to people all over the world. Not just as pets though, dogs have moved up the food chain to family members and best friends. Now, put yourself in their fur…… think real hard about how you would feel. Now think to yourself, would you rather be filthy dirty or well-groomed and looking GOOD! Thus emphasizing my opinion of, “ a well groomed dog is a happy dog!”

Grooming is the simple process of bathing, clipping, brushing, and cleaning your furry friend. Grooming also serves an important factor in your dog’s health; according to bestfreindspetcare.com, “with regular brushing and combing helping to remove dead hair and dirt and prevent matting. Dogs who are regularly groomed tend to have a healthier and shinier coat because it stimulates the blood supply to the skin.”

Grooming can be a long process and is usually different for every breed according to bestfriendspetcare.com. I can tell you this much from my own personal experience after grooming my Cavalier King Charles spaniel Agador, that I have never been closer to the little ball of energy.  I’m serious; once you have groomed your dog it will be a major bonding experience between human and canine that will never be tarnished.

So, with all this being said, I say once again that a well-groomed dog is a happy dog. Now ladies and gentlemen, take my advice and try grooming your dog and watch their faces light up, their tails wagging with enough force to blow dry your hair, and smiles wide enough to put one on your face as well. Oh, and if you all have any grooming stories please feel free to share, I love hearing other people’s experiences and opinions. One more thing, if you need any tips on grooming for a particular breed follow your dogs nose to this link http://www.bestfriendspetcare.com/dog_grooming/dog-grooming.cfm.  So with that, I bid you all a goodnight and don’t forget to Stay furry my friends!
