Technology has become such a prevalent part of our society, and we are bombarded with it every day.  This is probably part of the reason why people want the digital files from their sessions, and I understand the value of archiving memories and keeping them for the long haul.  However, memories are best kept alive and well in custom photographic wall art for your home.

I’m sure most people think they just want to get their session on a disk, and they plan on printing their own images at some point.  But, most people (including myself) will get the disk, it will go in a drawer, and probably will never see the light of day again.  Let’s not forget that technology is constantly evolving, so that disk you receive now may become obsolete in the future like floppy disks.

Let’s look at the other side of this… A custom photographic piece made especially for you and your home.  This piece will be available for your viewing pleasure on your wall each and every day because, let’s face it, art is meant to be enjoyed not stored in a drawer.  This is why we specialize in custom photographic wall art for your home.  We understand the value of preserving your memories, and there is no better way to do this than in a piece of art you can enjoy on a daily basis.

I’m not just spouting this for my own personal benefit either.  I am firm believer in custom photographic art for your home because I grew up in a family where getting professional family portraits was a high priority.  Those framed images still hang in my parents house from when I was just a few months old to being in high school.  Every few years I also update our “kids” photo for my parents, and this past Christmas I set up a shoot for my sister, brother, myself, and my parents two fur kids, Ruby and Agador.  What do you think was their favorite gift and now hangs in prime real estate so they can view it daily??  You got it… the images you see below.

So, why get something that is going to live in a drawer, possibly become obsolete as technology advances, and be on a medium that you can’t enjoy on a daily basis?  Once you think about it, it does make sense.  But, I do understand that some people just like having the digital files, so I do offer those on our “rewards” list that is available as an add on to your photographic print order.  I also gift Facebook files of the images you purchase for your wall art to you free of charge because I do understand that sometimes you just want to share and have your images on your computer, tablet, or phone.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this issue as well, so please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
