After a very long wait, we have finally welcomed Baby Hartz!  She took her sweet time arriving 9 days late after an almost 24 hour labor, but she was definitely well worth the wait.  Life has been pretty different since her arrival… Different but great.  I’m slowly adjusting to being at the beck and call of a tiny human that is totally dependent on me.  But, she is a great baby – not very fussy and she sleeps!

And now for the info you really want to know… She was born on June 15 weighing 8 lbs 6 0z and 21″ long.  Her name is Wilhelmina Maureen Hartz.  I’m sure some of you are wondering where Wilhelmina came from, and it is actually a pretty cool story.  Once we announced we were having a girl, my dad took to asking how “Wilhemina” was doing.  I’m not sure where he came up with the name, but after my 20th week pregnant she became known as Wilhelmina.  At first it was just a fun reference, but then my husband thought we should consider the name for her.  By the time she was born everyone was referring to her as Wilhelmina.  We had the name narrowed to two options, one being Wilhelmina, and after I saw her for the first time it just seemed to fit.  We are still working on a nickname but no luck yet!

Here are a few of my favorite images from her newborn session we did last week.  It was not an easy shoot having just had a baby… but again totally worth it!  Plus, I had a great assistant helping… my mom.  I hope you enjoy her images and think she is as adorable as I do!
